MSU alumna, Janelle Hopkins, was an intern for Meridian Entertainment during her time as a student at MSU. After graduating in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in advertising management, Hopkins kept in touch with her advisors at Meridian Entertainment and her persistence landed her a job as a talent buyer there.

“My biggest challenge after graduating was finding a job, I would spend hours filling out job applications, but ultimately what helped me land a job was the fact that I stayed in touch with the directors from my internship. I always reached out and said, ‘hey Merry Christmas, I’m looking for a job by the way’ and it end up working in my favor.”

Hopkins has been using her position at Meridian to provide internship opportunities for MSU students in the Department of AD+PR.
